Hobbies/Fun Fact: When I have free time you can either catch me at Snooty’s in Westdale or at Aritzia! The most important things to know about me include that I hate cheese (I take it off my pizza). I am Nigerian, I was born in Texas, and I lived in Switzerland until I was 3 and a half before coming here. My favourite song is She Will Be Loved and my favourite Disney princess is Ariel! Last but certainly not least, I definitely would call myself "a planner" which is a big reason why I love being one of your coordinators!
Greatest struggle in first year: My greatest struggle in first year was definitely feeling alone and making close friends. In high school I had a tight-knit friend group that basically all chose a different university than me. If you had asked me two years ago if I was excited to come to McMaster, I would have told you no. Welcome Week is filled with tons of unfamiliar faces and short-lived friendships and I found it difficult to feel very surface level with so many people. However, with any relationship, they take time to grow and before I knew it my roommates became my best friends outside of Health Sci, and I also found close friends and future housemates in our program! With time things gets more comfortable and you'll find people you connect with.
